Tiny tongue buckles add a fantastic level of realism to our model horse tack, but adjusting them can be hard on the eyes and the leather.
At the highest levels of competition, class-specific accessories can make your entry stand out in a crowd. However, with as little as 5 minutes between classes, it is almost impossible to change your huntseat bridle to a jumper one without breaking a strap or loosing your mind.
In response, I have developed a series of quick change features that are easy to adjust but do not compromise the detail and authenticity of your tack.
For no additional charge, I can include any or all of the following features in your order:
Large girth buckle
Hidden under the saddle flap, a single, large buckle makes it easy to change out a saddle pad or switch from huntseat to dressage
Wax on buckles
The noseband and throatlatch are the most often adjusted, and the most often broken, pieces in a bridle. This feature allows you to adjust your bridle to fit your horse ahead of time, then attach it with sticky wax. No magnifying glass needed!
Slide buckles in key spots
If you prefer not to trust wax, but would like an easier to use buckle, I can place slide buckles at the noseband and/or throatlatch.
Did you know?
I use these features in my own show tack, and can't imagine it otherwise. Just be sure to remove any excess wax, and no one will know how easy it was to tack up your horse!
